You have to join to play at the County Tennis Club of Westchester in Scarsdale — but once you do, it’s worth it. The County Tennis club is one of the oldest private tennis clubs in the country, now celebrating its 102nd birthday. The County Tennis club is just 30 minutes north of the city. It is home to 9 soft courts — 3 red clay and 6 har-tru. The club features an immense amount of excellent programming; intra- and inter-club tournaments, round robins, pro-am tournament, twilight tennis dinner on select Fridays throughout the year, kids programs, monthly barbecues, and member guest days. The club has an outstanding clubhouse, as well, with a large, comfortable living room, cable TV, beautiful deck overlooking the courts, wi-fi access and a full-service snack bar. 4. Saw Mill Club
The Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco New York is a full-service sports and fitness club. However, its tennis program is one of its stellar points, receiving high accolades for over 40 years.
